This high precision, compact, bridge-type CMM features precision scanning technology with the VAST XT gold active scanning sensor. The MICURA system offers 0.9 mi-cron + L/400 accuracy with low probing force and is designed for measurements of small and intricate parts often required in the optical, electronic, medical, aero-space and telecom-munication industries. “As devices from the medical and electronic manufac-turers become smaller so do the components that make them oper-ate optimally,” said a company spokesperson. “This shift in production is highly dependent on the right quality inspection equipment. The MICURA offers the accuracy to measure del-icate parts such as optics and disk drive components while maintain-ing efficiency. “The accuracy of the compact MICURA opens up the door for measurement applications in areas such as labs or companies re-quiring high precision. A measurement volume of 500 x 500 x 500 mm handles a va-riety of small parts, a bal-anced range in all three axes for a machine in this size category. “ T he CMM uses ceramic guideway technology to provide high stability against temperature changes and all dynamic influ-ences . Z EISS wr a p-around air bearings in all guideways provide rigid-ity and stability at maximum speeds and accelerations.
