Losma USA has purchased a new 16,000 square foot facility that is more than twice the size of its previous plant. Located in Sparta, NJ, the new plant will enable Losma to streamline its US assembly process and increase inventory, enabling the company to better serve its US customer base, the company said. Andrew Cook, General Manager of Losma USA, said, “Our customers in the machine tool industry have to move fast to stay ahead of the competition. And we do too. Our delivery times and technical support will soon get even faster thanks to a recent upgrade of our North American plant.” Losma’s machine tool filtration systems for the North American market need to be assembled locally, and the expansion has enabled Losma to put together a plan to institute lean assembly practices for even faster delivery times, the company said. Cooks said, “With twice the warehouse space we had in our old plant, our new facility has allowed us to increase the amount of inventory we carry. That inventory includes spare parts for all our air and coolant filtration systems.
