2019-10-23 05:41:24

Grover Precision has hired Kevin Kassa as the company’s Director of Operations and Grant Niewinski as the Director of New Business Development.

Kassa has built a 20-year career in operations and plant management. He is experienced in engineering and production management, as well as Lean Manufacturing/Continuous Improvement. “A Lean Six Sigma Blackbelt, Kevin has a proven record of accomplishments in manufacturing, product and material improvements resulting in improved profitability and increased customer satisfaction,” said a company spokesperson.

“Kevin is going to be an invaluable asset for our company as we look towards some major opportunities in the near future,” said Rob Pierson, President at Grover. “He has a background steeped in operations and continuous improvement— he will allow us to grow at a faster rate. The expertise he brings and the passion he shows for this industry is going to be invaluable for us because we are prepping for substantial growth.”

A graduate of Cornell University, Kassa has held senior-level management positions at two separate Ford Motor Company plants in the Detroit area before moving to Maine in 2010. He worked with several OEMs in the Lewiston/Auburn area, where he increased productivity, efficiency and profitability.

“I am thrilled to be joining the Grover team at such an exciting time for the business,” said Kassa. “The company has positioned itself to grow and provide tremendous value for its stakeholders. I am looking forward to working with the team to accelerate our growth, improve on our efficiencies and have fun along the way. Grover has a great team of employees who are committed to making the business successful, and I am excited to be joining them on this journey.”

Grant Niewinski brings 17 years of sales and marketing experience to the Maine manufacturer, and will head up the company’s new business efforts.

For the past seven years, Niewinski was the managing director and market manager for the U.S. for Forecreu, a French tubing manufacturer dealing mostly with the medical OEM. “With a proven track record for success at Forecreu, both through rapid internal growth and increased revenue, Niewinski will be called upon to push Grover to new heights, both internationally and domestically,” said the spokesperson.

“Grant is a major acquisition for us,” said Pierson. “The relationships Grant has built with medical device OEMs and contract manufacturers is invaluable, as well as Grant’s ability to work with clients and cultivate those relationships.”

“I am extremely excited to be part of the Grover team and start a new chapter in my business career,” said Niewinski. “I am looking forward to growing the commercial side of the business.” Niewinski will be based primarily in Chicago.
