OPEN MIND Technologies will be showcasing MAXX Machining, a performance package of the hyperMILL CAM software suite, in booth 436 at the Wichita Industrial Trade Show—Century II Expo Hall in Wichita, KS, October 22-24, 2019.
MAXX Machining offers three powerful modules for finishing, roughing and drilling. The finishing module is suitable for planar, ruled and curved surfaces often found in aerospace parts and other complex 5-axis components. MAXX Machining is designed to increase productivity and decrease costs in manufacturing operations. “Up to a 90% reduction in finishing time can be achieved using conical barrel cutters with MAXX Machining compared to using ball nose end mills,” said a company spokesperson.
OPEN MIND recently introduced hyperMILL 2019.2, the company’s newest release of the hyperMILL CAM suite including MAXX Machining technology. New hyperMILL 2019.2 has been enhanced with a range of new features including high-precision 3D finishing, 5-axis tangent machining, high-performance turning and new CAD-for-CAM technologies.
