Featuring an optional 16,000 RPM, 50 HP integral motor spindle, the HCN 6800-II delivers a maximum feed rate of 2,362 IPM at 0.8G acceleration for quick starts and contouring. A two-pallet changer is standard and pre-engineered to interface withMazak’s Palletechmaterial handling systemfor lights-out operation. Pallet size is 24.8 x 24.8 inches, with a maximum load capacity of 3,307 lbs. X-, Y- and Z-axis travels are 41.34, 35. 4 and 38.5 inches respectively. The HCN 6800-II’s productivity is further enhanced via a roller gear cam on the optional NC rotary table. The table indexes 90-degrees in 1.9 seconds. Chip-to-chip tool change time is 4.2 seconds. Tool storage choices include 43-, 80-, 120- and 160-tools, or up to 330 tools with Mazak’s Tool Hive magazine. TheMazatrolMATRIX NEXUS CNC provides 64-bit processing power to handle the large amounts of data required in multiple, complex part programs. Program size is 2 MB, with 8 MB optional.
