The custom software package automatically records critical welding parameters and maintains the history of every jointwelded. RANTRAK also provides documentation of all work completed to ensure proper welding procedures have been followed. RANTRAK is available exclusively for Rankin Automation hardbanding systems. The innovative software connects the Rankin hardbanding machine operator’s computer to a Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) that operates and controls the welding equipment and captures important data. RANTRAK features include: • Provides data integrity—information secured by RANTRAK cannot be edited, making it useful for accuracy and quality assurance. • Automatically collects data for preheat temperature, welding amperage and voltage, process time per joint, interpass temperature, total number of bands, number of bands per job, date and time of first and last weld. • Tracks all varieties of drill pipes, drill pipe size, job name and location, customer’s name and other key details. • Simplifies reporting and billing—data collected can be downloaded to Excel. Rankin Automation offers specialized hardbanding systems for applying toughwelded bands (carbide and special alloys) to a variety of drilling equipment subject to downhole abrasion.
