Bilz Tool Co. USA’ s newest Diebold product, CentroGrip, is engineered to combine best cutting tool run-out (TIR) with enhanced flexibility, according to the company. It is designed for small to medium volume metalworking manufacturing operations in industries such as medical, aerospace and die/mold.
The CentroGrip System provides a concentricity tolerance of ≤ 1 micron while providing damping of most cutting tool harmonics. The assembled system—tool holder, collet and cutting tool—provides a maximum TIR of ≤ 3 microns. These holders are all balanced with G2.5 accuracy and are available in CAT, BT, and HSK tool tapers.
