Toshiba Machine Co., America has introduced the newest addition to the TUE Series of vertical boring and turning mills: the TUE-100. With a one meter (40") table diameter, this VTL is designed for high-speed, heavy-duty cutting with a max. load up to 2,000 kg (4,400 lbs.). The TUE-100 features an identical ram cross section to support the railhead for increased precision. Further improving cutting performance are two types of bearings to support both the radial and axial loads of the table, along with the high quality cast iron bed designed for efficient chip removal. Sitting within a more compact 5m x 3.5m x 4m (200"x138"x 174") footprint compared to larger models, the TUE- 100 has feedrates up to 2,000 mm/ min. The wide range of table speeds is intended to provide enhanced surface finishes on a variety of materials.
