See Page 12 for Details Complete Online Digital Editions at www.mfgnewsweb.com Mitsui Seiki Establishes Turbine Technology Center In J anu ary 2013, Mitsui Seiki opened the doors of a new Turbine Technology Center located in the company’s Franklin Lakes, NJ, facility. “Our existing and po-tential OEM and supply chain customers in the turbo machinery industry will be able to conduct test c ut s, a ppl y d iff erent processes, experiment with cutting tool designs and prove out CNC pro-grams,” said Tom Dolan, Vice President. “They will also be able to try different int eg ra ted in-p roc es s quality control devices and software. The center’s resources will help them determine the best strate-gies and solutions for their specific needs in their own factories.” The Manufacturing Institute has partnered with the Precision Machined Products Association (PMPA) to ex-pand Right Skills Now, a fast-track ma-chining training program aligned to the National Association of Manufac-turers (NAM)-Endorsed Manufactur-ing Skills Certification System. Hwacheon on November 1, 2012, marked its 60th anniversary with the grand opening of its technology center and an open house. More than 2,000 people attended the three-day event where the company had on display its range of CNC machine tools from ver-tical turning centers to drill and tap machines, horizontal lathes to mold and die machining centers. Company management greeted the guests and welcomed them into the new technology center in the middle of the company’s head office campus in Gwangju, Korea.
