United Performance Metals (UPM) has installed a new Mitsubishi ML3015ex- F60 6 kW fiber laser in the company’s Cincinnati, OH, headquarters.
“High-speed processing accuracy of the new fiber laser will reduce lead times by cutting metal three times faster,” said a company spokesperson. “The fiber laser also features nonclamping edges for better sheet utilization, superior fiber laser finish and tighter tolerances.
To accompany the new fiber laser, UPM also installed a new 48 inch Arku Leveler and a 36 inch Timesaver. This equipment will allow us to produce gently deburred, flat and stress free parts.”
