The event offers a large collection of 3D print-ing technologies and insights from ex-perts in the industry who will present solutions to real-world challenges. Each year at RAPID + TCT, ex-hibitors reveal groundbreaking prod-ucts, and this year will include over 300 hands-on exhibits showcasing real-world additive manufacturing (AM) solutions. The conference lineup is cat-egorized around three key stages of the AM journey: evaluation, adoption and optimization. Guests will have access to an extensive lineup of programming Continued on Page 62 Cutting Tools Productivity in High Feed Milling Applications The NEOFEED line is designed for high feed, rough milling. The company, provider of power infrastructure development and de-ployment, is investing in its existing electrical infrastructure manufacturing hub in Grand Prairie, TX (IBEW Local 220), and a greenfield manufacturing Continued on Page 61 Automation is Key to Titanium Plating from SIFCO ASC SIFCO ASC has developed a cus-tom range of automated solutions for the plating of titanium. The proprietary process gives customers a consistent, repeatable means of enhancing tita-nium alloys for use in mission-critical components. The new process overcomes a key challenge in the use of titanium for cer-tain applications. Despite its high strength and light weight, titanium’s poor resistance to abrasive or adhesive wear makes it unsuitable for use as, for example, aircraft landing gears and au-tomotive internal combustion engines. Suitable for bar and tubular stock machining that requires mul-tiple changeovers daily, COMOT-AZ can be used in three ways: for OD machining using standard collets; for greater accu-racy utilizing high precision collets with COMOT-AZ/PA; or transform COMOT-AZ quickly into an expanding mandrel for ID clamping using the EMX series. “Effectively used for hard turning, gear grinding, drilling, milling and more, COMOT-AZ provides low deformation clamping of thin-walled workpieces and offers a Heat Treating & Cryogenics Continuous Mesh Belt Furnace System High-volume system integrates automation capability for tracking of product status.
