The EDMDrill Model CT500-5AS from Current EDM is a production small hole EDM system with X, Y travels of 14 x 22 x 16 inches. The 5-axes positioning machine is designed to drill cooling holes in complex land based or aerospace turbine components, medical parts, die sets and in die-mold applications. The Model CT500-5AS incorporates a rugged fully integrated tilt/rotary table with the Siemens 840Di control that positions the part for drilling angled holes. Its ergonomic design and palletized tooling is intended to allow for easy loading of the work piece. Automated electrode & guide changing is included as well as a complete low-maintenance DI system. It is available in tilt-rotary table or tilting head configurations. Twin-head versions for EDM drilling and EDMing shapes are also available. Standalone vision measurement systems are available or as a retrofit to our 5-axes drilling systems.
