SHARP’s Model OD-1524X CNC O.D. cylindrical grinder offers solutions to a variety of grinding applications for tool room or production requirements. This series of CNC grinders has an O.D. grinding range from 8” to 24” and distance between centers from 20” to 80”.
Models with traveling wheel head can grind up to a length of 160”. The FANUC Oi-TC CNC control and drive system is designed to deliver high precision movement of the wheel head and the table. The work head can swivel 90° CCW and 30° CW for various grinding operations . The wheel head travels on the saddle with hand scraped and TURCITE coated V and flat ways.
The 0.00002” linear feedback system offers high positioning accuracy and repeatability. The table travels on a cushion of oil with no metal to metal contact. An optional I.D. attachment is available for internal grinding operations. To increase productivity, other optional accessories are available including: crash control, gap control, touch probe and auto sizing device.
