Intelligrated, an automated material handling solutions provider, has announced the appointment of Chuck Adams to the position of Senior Vice President and General Manager, Sales. The company has also appointed John Sorensen to the position of Senior Vice President and General Manager, Life cycle Support Services.
To his new role, Adams brings more than 30 years of sales and business leadership experience as well as a background in leading large sales teams across global organizations. Adams reports directly to CEO Chris Cole and is responsible for developing a comprehensive sales strategy to leverage Intelligrated’s lineup of automated equipment, software and picking technologies for continued growth in North America and key international markets.
“We are pleased to welcome Chuck to the Intelligrated family,” said Cole. “His strong sales and business acumen combined with a track record of global success make him critical to the next phase of strategic expansion.”
Before joining Intelligrated,Adams held senior-level sales and business leadership positions with CSX, General Electric and TE Connectivity, before most recently serving as North American Vice President and General Manager for Videojet, a Danaher company. He holds a bachelor ’s degree in accounting from Penn State University and earned his MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management.
According to the company, Sorensen brings more than 18 years of experience and a successful track record of managing large-scale after market service and support organizations to his new role. He oversees all Intelligrated after market services from installation and training to maintenance and technical support. He works with senior management to develop strategy and execution plans to drive the next phase of growth for Lifecycle Support Services, with an initial focus on Intelligrated’s existing installation base and development of new technology.

Before joining Intelligrated, Sorensen spent most of his career at Honeywell Process Solutions as a Director and Regional Manager before serving as General Manager of Lifecycle Services and Solutions. He holds a bachelor ’s degree in electronic engineering technology from DeVry University and earned his MBA from Webster University in St. Louis.
